Getting there...
The camp is 2.5 hours north of New York City, close to I 87 and the Hudson river, in the general area of Cairo. We will send directions around noon on Friday to only those who have RSVPed here. Please make sure you RSVP before then, as we have only spotty phone contact at the site.
We suggest that you try to get to the spot during daylight, not only because it will be easier to find but to get your own camp set up before dark. We would like to keep all traffic in and out of the camp to a minimum. There are stores somewhat nearby, but if you come later we suggest you get food and supplies in New York, or they may be closed for the night.
RIDES:
The spot is really not very close to any public transit. As of now there are more people that want to come than rides...If you have a ride to offer, or are looking for a ride, contact us. we will try to help but we cannot guarantee a ride for everyone that's coming, so please ask your friends who have a car also..
The closest trains are the Metro North to Poughkeepsie (about 45 minutes away), or the Amtrak to Hudson (about 30 minutes away)...we will not have any sort of shuttle, so if you consider this option you must figure out your own way to the camp...
